The primary goal of Women in Wildlife is to connect and amplify women and non-binary persons working within the wildlife industry.

We are a platform highlighting women’s work and journeys, as well as providing a support network for women while navigating a career in this tough but rewarding industry.

Women in Wildlife was born after our founder read a paper by Wendy Anderson, titled ‘The Changing Face of the Wildlife Profession: Tools for Creating Women Leaders. This paper identified the three most significant unmet needs by women in wildlife agencies have been found to include: opportunities for career development, lack of a strong female network, and flexible working hours. WIW hopes to bridge one of these gaps, by creating a network of strong females working within the wildlife industry.
